Research funding
For funding research into and development of new technologies and techniques in residential-area water management, an annual budget of EUR 1.454 mn is available (§21 Environmental Support Act 1993, as amended). Research results are published in the sub-category Projects and Studies.
Projects are assigned to one of the three following categories and the funding volume provided for them does not exceed the relevant maximum rates.- Scientific research (basic research, not aimed at commercial exploitation,
access to results unlimited) – maximum funding: 100 %
- Industrial research (Involvement of a commercial partner, commercial
exploitation possible) – maximum funding: 50 %
- Precompetitive development (process optimization, achieving market
maturity, check for fitness-for-use) – maximum funding: 25 %
Enclosed you will find the application form as well as the guide to application and the General Terms and Conditions of Contract available for download. The application process and the further handling of funded research projects is conducted by Kommunalkredit Public Consulting.
Altogether, 146 research projects with cash equivalent of funding of EUR 14.4 mn and a research volume of EUR 37.6 mn have been conducted since 1995. The average funding rate was 38%.
